John M. Demers, Executive Producer

John M. Demers is an actor and producer. In addition to appearing in front of the camera, including lead roles for several TV shows produced for the Discovery Channel, John founded Studio in the Woods, Inc. Originally a voice-over only production facility, Studio in the Woods is now a multi-media production company located in the Apex area of North Carolina.

John just completed a two–year term on the Board of Directors for Media Communication Association International, (MCAI) (www.mca-i.org) and gives talks on how emerging and new-media technologies can couple with creative grass roots marketing, the term commonly referred to as product placement. This marriage can deliver financial results for the independent producer and companies choosing this type of marketing.

Currently John is a faculty advisor to The School of Communication Arts and Piedmont Community College's Film Video and Production Technology Program. He has served as adjunct faculty at a number of other colleges and higher education facilities such as UNC-Greensboro and Savannah College of Art and Design. He currently has a number of projects in various stages of development and production. His “think outside the box, work outside the box, and know when to get back in the box!” philosophy has served him well.

Bob Crowley, Producer

R.T.Crowley is Producer of the Peak City Film Festival and Senior Vice President of Convey Ink. He has over thirty years of hands–on and managerial experience in marketing at all levels, handling senior management and organizational positions for a number of companies and has also owned and operated his own independent consulting firm. His experience is worldwide even to serving as a member of the US Delegation to the United Nations at one point in his career. No stranger to the stage and the camera himself, he is a distinguished speaker on many topics and once “trod the bards” as an actor some years ago. He is a well-known figure around town, serving in a number of organizations including the Kiwanis Club of Apex, the Apex Chamber of Commerce, and the Apex Downtown Business Association.

Crew

Crew, Mascot

Crew the Raccoon is mascot of the Peak City Film Festival, but no stranger to performing. From the moment Crew left the forests of Chatham County to cross over Jordan Lake, involvement in public appearances, even on television, have been mainstays of life. The public debut of involvement with the Film Festival started with participation in a meeting of the Apex Town council in early August of 2009, and continues through a series of appearances at venues all around the area. Crew has met many local celebrities at these appearances and looks forward to meeting the internationally known folks sure to be attracted to visiting Apex during the Peak City Film Festival. Crew is a natural to be a part of the Peak City Film Festival because, as every producer knows, to make a good film you need a good crew!

Crew is available to visit your public event to join in the festivities and publicize the Peak City Film Festival. For details, please contact us at info@peakcityfilmfestival.org at least two (2) weeks before your event.
